Denver shooting: One dead at bike show attack
At least one person has died and several injured after a
shooting and stabbing at a motorcycle show in the US state
of Colorado.
Police in Denver said "numerous" people were hurt in the
attack at the Denver Coliseum, which happened just before
13:00 local time (20:00 GMT).
The venue was hosting the Colorado Motorcycle Expo, one
of the largest events of its kind in the US.
Health officials tweeted that nine people were being treated
in hospital.
At a press briefing, Raquel Lopez, a spokeswoman for
Denver Police, said there was at least one stabbing as well
as shooting.
No-one was in custody, she said.
The Denver Post reported that the incident started as a feud
between rival motorcycle gangs.
In May 2014, a shootout between rival bike gangs in Waco,
Texas , killed nine people and led to more than 170 arrests.
